Canadian Clinical Skills Assessment (CCSA™)
The clinical skills assessment exam process was established to ensure that Canadian Registered Diagnostic Sonographers have the knowledge and clinical skills necessary for entry level practice. This document provides an assurance to employers and the public that sonographers registered with Sonography Canada are competent entering into their profession.
The development of the CCSA required consultation with employers, practitioners and educators and is based on the Canadian National Competency Profiles for Sonography.
The CCSA is currently available to students of accredited Canadian ultrasound programs and approved applicants who are external to the accredited programs
