Il n\u2019y aura plus d\u2019examen de base autonome.<\/p><p>La session d\u2019examen de septembre&nbsp;2026 sera la derni\u00e8re fois que l\u2019examen de base sera disponible pour les candidats.<\/p><p>Les candidats aux examens d\u2019\u00c9chographie Canada ont deux choix&nbsp;:<\/p><p>1. Si vous choisissez de passer les examens de certification en janvier, mai ou septembre&nbsp;2026, vous passerez les examens dans le format d\u2019examen actuel&nbsp;: c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire deux examens.<\/p><p>Examen de base ET de sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 dans votre domaine de formation (g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste, ou cardiaque, ou vasculaire).<\/p><p>2. Si vous choisissez de passer les examens de certification \u00e0 partir de janvier&nbsp;2027, vous passerez seulement un examen.<br>Vous ne passerez PAS un examen de base s\u00e9par\u00e9.<br>Vous passerez le nouvel examen d\u2019accr\u00e9ditation de sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9 (qui comprend le contenu principal) dans votre domaine de formation (g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste, ou cardiaque ou vasculaire).<\/p><p>** Si vous devez repasser l&#8217;un de vos examens en 2027, vous aurez une derni\u00e8re session suppl\u00e9mentaire en janvier 2027 pour que l&#8217;examen soit bas\u00e9 sur le profil de comp\u00e9tences national (NCP 6.1).<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les inscriptions pour mai 2026 sont closes. Canada doivent r\u00e9ussir l\u2019examen de base qui \u00e9value les comp\u00e9tences fondamentales applicables \u00e0 tous les \u00e9chographistes.<\/p>\n\n<p>L&#8217;examen de comp\u00e9tences de base en \u00e9chographie comprend 80 questions \u00e0 choix multiples auxquelles il faut r\u00e9pondre en 80 minutes.<\/p>\n\n<p>La r\u00e9ussite \u00e0 l&#8217;examen de comp\u00e9tences de base en \u00e9chographie est requise pour obtenir la certification en tant qu&#8217;\u00e9chographiste g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste, \u00e9chographiste cardiaque et \u00e9chographiste vasculaire.<\/p>\n\n<p>** Dans le cadre de la PNC 7.0, il n&#8217;y aura plus d&#8217;examen \u00e9crit de base ind\u00e9pendant. The competence of health care professionals is crucial to public safety and patient well-being.<\/p>\n\n<p>Competence is:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>developmental<\/strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em>\u2013 evolves over the span of a person\u2019s career<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>impermanent<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 knowledge and skills that are not regularly utilized are lost and<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>context-specific<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 not measurable in the absence of a specific practice situation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>Entry-level competence recognizes that an entry-to-practice sonographer is a novice in the profession. These sonographers will have varying levels of knowledge and skills: academic, simulated, and\/or clinical.&nbsp; When presented with routine situations, sonographers at this level should perform relevant competencies in a manner consistent with generally accepted standards in the profession, independently and within a reasonable timeframe. Entry-level sonographers should anticipate the expected outcomes in a given situation and respond appropriately, performing competencies in an informed manner.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Canadian Accredited Educational Programs Candidate:<\/h3>\n\n<p>Canadian accredited educational programs and Sonography Canada entered into agreements which provide the students candidates with an opportunity to complete the Canadian Clinical Skills Assessment (CCSA) that is required to obtain the Generalist credential.<\/p>\n\n<p>Although program personnel administer it, the Canadian Clinical Skills Assessment is an independent process that may or may not be a requirement for program graduation.&nbsp; Further information about this may be obtained from the candidate\u2019s Program CCSA Representative.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alternate Pathway Information:<\/h3>\n\n<p>Alternate pathway candidates can only apply for the CCSA after they\u2019ve successfully completed the written examinations. Candidates must pass the CCSA (within their given eligibility period) before a Sonography Canada credential can be awarded. It is important that the areas for examination are adequately assessed and that all clinically significant abnormal findings are documented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Should be constantly observed by the assessors throughout the scanning of the entire case.&nbsp; The assessors still can re-scan any portion(s) of a case to ensure that an adequate assessment was completed by the candidate as the assessors is ultimately responsible for the case.<\/p>\n\n<p>Must complete the applicable skills independently, accurately and within a timeframe consistent with expectations for an entry-level sonographer.
