Cardiac Sonographer, Adult Services – Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC
Island Health is seeking a Full-time Cardiac Sonographer, Adult Services in Victoria, BC.
Under the general supervision of the Echocardiography Supervisor, and as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team providing patient-centered care, you will perform cardiac ultrasound with a focus on adult procedures. This will involve:
- operating ultrasound equipment, including preparing and presenting patient data to physicians
- receiving and completing requisitions, forms and reports
- preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment
- monitoring patients.
You will have successfully graduated from an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma Program and are eligible for your cardiac sonographer credential (CRCS®) with Sonography Canada and/or eligible for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDCS, Adult) certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). You will have at least one year of recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Basic Life Support Certificate, Level C (BLSC) is required.
