Hosted by Sonography Canada, SonoCon is the National Conference for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and the meeting place for professionals, stakeholders, and senior volunteer leadership. The conference in Vancouver will draw sonographers from across Canada. This year’s program will feature:

Leadership Bootcamp: Elevating Communication, Trust, and Team Culture – Collaboration and Connection in Action
What if your next leadership workshop was actually about… you? We’re building a custom leadership bootcamp for this year’s conference and you get to shape it. This is designed for the new and experienced leader in clinical and non-clinical settings. Inspired by this year’s AGM Keynote Address, Steady in the Storm: Building Resilience and Civility at Work, Jaime Mann will guide you through a tailor-made session to help you develop and perfect your team communication and management skills. Ensuring that important discussions are included, participants will be polled in advance of the date to identify the most powerful scenarios to incorporate. Join us for this half-day primer to help you build a more engaged, trusting, and civil team dynamic.
Bowel/Contrast Bootcamp: The Bowel the Loop, and the contrast scoop
This unique 3-hour workshop is designed for sonographers, from beginners to intermediate scanners, to enhance their skills in bowel ultrasound and gain a foundation in technique for contrast ultrasound. This session delivers a combination of didactic and hands-on experience that can be used in everyday clinical practice. Brought to you by Canon Medical, Christine Merrill will lead this workshop in collaboration with our partners at Bracco at this hands-on session. Space is limited!
MSK Bootcamp: Approach to Ultrasound Assessment of the Shoulder, Wrist and hand, Knee and Ankle
Led by Dr. Linda Probyn, this session will review an approach to ultrasound of the shoulder, wrist and hand, knee and ankle.
There will be a hands-on demonstration showing an approach to ultrasound examination, which will include assessment of the joint and soft tissue structures including dynamic assessment to assist in diagnostic assessment. This will be followed by a brief presentation highlighting common pathologic musculoskeletal conditions. Pearls and pitfalls will be discussed to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
