Exam Dates, Registration Periods, and Schedule

Sonography Canada exams are administered 3 times per year, over a 3-day period (depending on which exams are being challenged).
If a candidate prefers to write at an in-person centre, every attempt will be made to secure a site upon request. For more information, please review the Candidate Guide on the Accredited Program Applicants or the Alternate Pathways Applicants pages.
Schedule (for all exams 2024-2025)
Candidates writing via remote proctor will schedule exams between 8:00am and 7:00pm Eastern time for optimal exam support. Candidates will receive information closer to the exam date on booking their exam time slots.
Candidates writing at in-person test centres will follow the schedule below (for all time zones). Candidates will receive information closer to the exam date with the location of the test centre.
- Core Exam – 9:00am – 10:20am
- Vascular Exam – 11:00am – 14:00pm
- Cardiac Exam – 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Generalist Exam – 9:00am – 13:10pm
