Positions Available: Full-time, Part-time and casual positions for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers

Merivale Medical Imaging is one of Ontario’s leading independent health facilities providing ultrasound, nuclear medicine, x-ray, mammography and bone densitometry services. This multi-site facility provides a variety of ultrasound specialties including abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, MSK, vascular and echocardiography. The ultrasound department utilizes the latest ultrasound equipment by Philips and Samsung and is fully digitized with PACS and uses ISCV for cardiac reporting.

Job Summary:

CRGS/RDMS:  Successful General Sonographer candidates must have the ability to perform a variety of general ultrasound procedures and produce an accurate preliminary report for the radiologist.

CRCS/RDCS:  Successful Cardiac Sonographer candidates must have the ability to perform echocardiography procedures and produce an accurate preliminary report for the cardiologist.

All candidates must be registered sonographers and have current registration with ARDMS and/or Sonography Canada and must hold current (active) membership with CMRITO. Liability insurance (PLI) is required for all sonographers. All candidates must demonstrate professionalism and be friendly and empathetic in nature.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited general ultrasound or cardiac ultrasound program
• Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS & CMRITO
• Proof of personal liability insurance (PLI)
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and work as part of a team
• Demonstrate interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills (PACS & RIS) are required
• Experience with vascular and/or MSK and/or echocardiogram examinations is an asset for all general sonographer candidates
• Experience with contrast echo is an asset for cardiac sonographer candidates
• Experience with ISCV (cardiac candidates) an asset
