In a beautifully designed facility that specializes in women’s health and general ultrasounds, we are looking for various positions including full-time, part-time or casual Diagnostic Medical Sonographers interested in providing exceptional patient care. We focus on quality, excellence, and patient-centered comprehensive medicine. Our positive mindset team consists of Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialists, Radiologists, OBGYNs, specialized women’s health nurses and sonographers, receptionists, MOAs, wellness practitioners, and managers. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, software, efficiency systems, and patient amenities. Onsite training and continuing education may be available to support ongoing professional growth and clinical excellence.
We specialize in perinatal health, offering dedicated pregnancy ultrasounds, community Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultations, and non-invasive prenatal screening (NIPS). We are proud to offer industry-leading Advanced Pelvic Ultrasound, including specialized assessment for conditions such as endometriosis. Our pediatric imaging services include specialized transcranial brain and spine ultrasound examinations for infants and children, providing essential diagnostic support to our community’s youngest patients. We also offer a broad range of general ultrasound services, enabling our team to meet diverse diagnostic needs.
Position Summary
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs high-quality ultrasound examinations while providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a private practice setting. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure accurate imaging and positive patient experience. The Sonographer collaborates closely with the physician team to support timely diagnoses and uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence and professionalism.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, advanced pelvic, pediatric and general
- Deliver compassionate patient care by clearly explaining exams and procedures, answering questions, and fostering a safe, comfortable environment
- Produce high-quality images and accurate technical documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic records using clinic EMR/PACS system
- Prepare preliminary reports for physicians
- Present patient history and relevant findings to physicians
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance existing skills and develop new competencies
- Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, technologists and administrative staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Sonography Canada credentialed membership with professional liability insurance is required
- Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) membership in good standing is required
- Graduate of an accredited Sonography program is required
- Experience in scanning OB/GYN or Maternal-Fetal Medicine is an asset
- Experience in Pediatric Ultrasound is an asset
