Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech)

We are currently looking for a Cardiac Sonographer to join our interdisciplinary team of skilled professionals. Reporting to the Manager of Laboratory Services & Medical Imaging, the Cardiac Sonographer will perform echocardiographic procedures for adult patients. This role supports timely and accurate clinical assessments in support of the multidisciplinary team and to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of patient care programs.

Regular working hours will be day shifts, Monday to Friday. This posting is for a current vacancy.

Basic Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited degree or post-graduate Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Membership with ARDMS and/or current credentialed member of Sonography Canada.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Minimum one (1) year of full-time health care experience in all aspects of adult echocardiography;
• Demonstrated excellent patient care skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history and positive work references;
• Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs (Microsoft Office, Meditech, PACS);
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and accurately, both autonomously and as an effective team member;
• Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registration with Sonography Canada
• Experience with Contrast Echo and bubble studies is preferred.
• Vascular Sonography experience an asset

Compensation & Benefits
$89,700 – $116,470 annually (the successful candidate will be placed at the corresponding step according to their experience)
