Sonography Week 2024
Sonography Week represents 5 days to celebrate our profession and the important role sonographers play in delivering quality healthcare to Canadians. This year’s theme, “10 Years Strong: Honouring Excellence in Sonography” is an opportunity for us to highlight the strength and dedication of the sonography community over the past decade. It’s a tribute to the professionals who have contributed to the field’s success, celebrating their excellence and resilience.
This year, Sonography Week takes place October 7-11, followed by SonoCon 2024 in Vancouver from October 25-27.

Mental Health Monday: Webinar – Manage Workplace Stress and Avoid Burnout
Tune in to hear Stacey Stemplowski, Lead Therapist and Director of Programs with Focus Mental Health. Stacey will provide members with tools to and introduce new resources. Members will earn 1 Relevant to Practice CPD Credit.
Hill Day: Advocacy in Action!
On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Sonography Canada is heading to Parliament Hill for a day of meetings that will put Sonography in the healthcare spotlight. Stay tuned for a summary of results and advocacy success!

On Wednesday, we will post this year’s spotlight video on Sonography Canada Award Winners! Check in to see a few of this year’s award winners, and be inspired by the work they accomplished to be honoured with a Sonography Canada achievement award. Exceptional! (not eligible for credit)
Thoughtful Thursday: Webinar: Informed Consent – Every patient, Every time!
Representatives from BMS (PLI) and Miller Thompson (legal) will discuss the importance of informed consent, and specifics related to PLI coverage and the impact on sonographers. Members will earn 1 Sonography Based CPD credit.
Far Off Friday: A Journey to Jordan
Visit the Video library on Friday, we will take you on a journey to Jordan in West Asia! Mona Hatoum will take us on her travels and work in Jordan with the RAD AID program. You’ll learn more about this incredible outreach program, what these journeys look like, and how you can get involved! Members will earn 1 Relevant to Practice CPD credit. Tune in and get inspired!
