A Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer performs a variety of echocardiography techniques in order to obtain images to assist with the detection and diagnosis of conditions and diseases of the cardiovascular system.
As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer working with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) the main areas of sonography focuses on the heart and is typically performed in either cardiology, or diagnostic imaging departments of hospitals.
Salary or Pay Band: $41.980 to $44.970
Qualifications:
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography diploma
• Credentialed by Sonography Canada as Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS)
Credentials:
• Must be a current credentialed member of Sonography Canada
