Job Description

We are seeking a full-time cardiac sonographer to perform adult echocardiograms within our accredited hospital-affiliated cardiology clinic.

Rate of Pay

• This is a flexible collegial work environment.  Wages are very competitive with community standards.
• Salary Range: $37-$51 dollars an hour

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Adult Echocardiography.
• Currently DMS registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) or Sonography Canada or be eligible for registration within three months to CMRITO or Sonography Canada.
• At least one year previous work experience with adult echocardiography within an accredited clinical environment is beneficial.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and accommodate urgent appointment requests.
• Prepare accurate preliminary reports.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with both patients and staff.
• Time management skills.
• Recent satisfactory performance with demonstrated excellence in attendance required.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment as part of a team, but also be able to work independently.
• Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles.
