1 – Full-time Positions (40 hours weekly with opportunity for over-time)

London X-Ray Associates (LXA) is seeking certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographers who would like to join our team in London, Ontario. Candidates would be joining an experienced team of sonographers and academic radiologists who support continuous education and a highly quality community medical imaging practice. LXA clinics are clinical practice sites for ultrasound students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a current member in good standing with Sonography Canada and CMRITO registrations, ARDMS an asset.
  • A graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Ultrasound Program, with a College of Applied Arts and Technology or University.
  • Must be a generalist sonographer with obstetrical/gynecological interest an asset.
  • Preference is for 1 year of recent experience, new grads welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of general sonography (abdomen, pelvis, vascular, obstetrics), MSK is an asset.
  • Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations.
  • Keen interest in ongoing CME education and an eagerness to learn new ultrasound skills and subspecialties.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, and all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, families, radiologists, colleagues, and the general public.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Demonstrated pattern of good attendance.

Immunization Requirements:

Before beginning employment at LXA, all new hires will be required to:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
  • Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated.
