Orillia X-Ray & Ultrasound, Inc. is a well-established, community-based diagnostic imaging clinic dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and high-quality diagnostic services. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our professional healthcare team.

This community is set on the shores of Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe, also boasts many golf courses in the area as well as ski resorts for all season activities.

As a valued member of our clinic, you will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while working collaboratively with our radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to deliver outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including:General abdominal imaging
  • Obstetrical and gynecological imaging
  • Small parts examinations
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound experience is considered an asset.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure image quality meets radiologist and clinic standards.
  • Accurately document examinations and maintain complete patient records.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians by providing comprehensive examination information.
  • Adhere to all infection prevention, patient safety, and privacy policies.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with manufacturer and clinic guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and maintain current knowledge of advances in sonography.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Current credentialed membership with Sonography Canada in good standing.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
