This position is also open to new and future graduates, offering a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience under the supervision of seasoned and registered Sonographers. Future graduates will be compensated at a Non-Registered Technologist rate (TBD) until registration is completed.
Requirements:
- Member in good standing of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists
of Ontario (CMRITO) or a future graduate actively pursuing registration with the CMRITO. - Graduate of an accredited program of Medical Imaging – Diagnostic Medical Sonography (unless a future graduate or student).
- Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada, or eligibility upon graduation.
- Possess valid liability insurance as defined by the CMRITO, or eligible to obtain liability insurance upon registration.
- Initiative, organizational, and decision-making skills are essential.
- Strong computer skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal courteously and effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload.
- Must be available to work all shifts including weekends, stat holidays and on call.
