Expand Your Skills with the Carotid Ultrasound Course!
Designed for Generalist and Cardiac sonographers, this self-paced, online course provides a comprehensive overview of carotid exams, covering essential topics like anatomy, physics, exam protocols, carotid disease, and correlative imaging. Through 5 learning modules and approximately 12 hours of content, sonographers will deepen their understanding of carotid ultrasound theory, reinforced by module quizzes and a final assessment.
Learning Modules in this course are:
- Module One: Cerebrovascular Anatomy
- Module Two: Vascular Physics and Hemodynamics Review (in relation to the carotid system)
- Module Three: Examination Protocols
- Module Four: Carotid Disease and Pathology
- Module Five: Correlative Imaging and Treatment
Learners will have access to video modules, case studies, and a course moderator for support. The course platform also allows for ongoing review of learning materials. Upon completing the final quiz, participants will earn 15 Sonography-Based CPD credits.
