New Strategic Plan, Vision, and Mission
Sonography Canada is pleased to share our newly developed 2026-2028 Strategic Plan, a roadmap that will guide our work and priorities for the next three years. This plan reflects the evolving landscape of health care and sonography, and reinforces our commitment to supporting members, advancing professional practice, and promoting excellence in patient care across Canada.
As part of this work, we have refreshed our Vision and Mission statements to better reflect who we are today and where we are headed.

Leading with care and excellence in Sonography for a healthier Canada.
Our Mission:
As a health care association, Sonography Canada advocates for optimal patient care. We uphold high standards of education and professional practice as we support members with a commitment to innovation, as health care evolves.
The new Strategic Plan focuses on strengthening the profession, supporting our members at every stage of their careers, and ensuring Sonography Canada remains a trusted leader in credentialing, and advocacy. Our four strategic goals are:
- Sonography Canada is the Canadian Leader in credentialing, professional education and standard setting, supporting the evolving needs of the profession.
- Members feel connected, represented, and served through tailored experiences that support their growth.
- Sonography Canada is recognized as the leading voice of the profession, partnering with policy makers, key stakeholders and the public to advance policies impacting sonography, while promoting the value of the profession.
- Sonography Canada is a future-ready organization with the leadership, resources and systems to deliver its strategic priorities and foster global respect.
