Virtual Simulation Learning in Sonography

Join us! Presented by a panel of contributors, this talk will look at open education resources (OERs) available now for sonographers, CELs and sonography students to help them prepare for clinical, and to cover topics that are harder to approach or simulate in traditional skills labs and clinical placements. Topics include technical skills in endovaginal ultrasound, critical thinking, ergonomics, supporting trans and non-binary patients in ultrasound, and trauma-informed care. A library of virtual learning simulations has been created through the VirtuWil program (Virtual Work Integrated Learning). Presenters wiill provide an overview of facilitation suggestions, and available sims.
Audience: This webinar is open to all Sonography Canada Academic Partner Network (APN) and their teams, as well as Sonography Canada members who are interested in learning more.
