Sonography Canada Heads to Parliament Hill to Advocate for Sonographers
On November 6, 2025, Sonography Canada and members of its Board of Directors will be participating in Hill Day, an important advocacy initiative aimed at promoting the role of sonographers to to politicians and bureaucrats across Canada. This initiative provides our organization an opportunity to meet with policymakers and stakeholders to discuss the value of diagnostic medical sonography, share insights from on the profession, and highlight issues affecting both sonographers and the patients they serve.
Through Hill Day, Sonography Canada continues to strengthen its voice in healthcare policy, ensuring that the needs and expertise of sonographers are recognized. By engaging directly with decision-makers, we aim to advocate for policies that support health human resource development, sustainable access to high-quality diagnostic imaging services, the vital role that sonographers play in the care economy.
We are proud to see our Board actively representing the profession and look forward to sharing updates from the day with our members. So, on November 6, stay tuned to our social media accounts and help be part of the advocacy efforts by re-sharing to your social. A full recap of the discussions and outcomes from this important advocacy initiative will be shared after the event.
