Sonography Canada’s Response to CMRITO’s Proposed Registration Fee Increase
October 1, 2024As you may be aware, the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) has proposed an increase to the annual registration fee, which is now open for consultation. We understand that this may be a concern for many of you, especially given the current economic climate and the proposed size of the increase.
Sonography Canada is aware of the situation, and we want to assure you that we are committed to representing the interests of our members. We will be reaching out to CMRITO in a respectful and constructive manner to offer our assistance through a consultative approach. Our goal is to engage in meaningful dialogue with the College and explore any opportunities for collaboration or support that can help inform their decision-making process.
In the meantime, we strongly encourage you to share your individual perspectives and concerns directly through CMRITO’s consultation process. As outlined in their communication, you have until Sunday, November 24, 2024 to submit your feedback, and we believe it is important that your voices are heard.
To participate in the consultation, please visit the CMRITO Consultations page.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the sonography profession. We will keep you informed of any developments and welcome any input you may have as we navigate this issue together.
Sincerely,
Susan Clarke
Executive Director, Sonography Canada
