Your Q2-2024 Association Update: From the Executive Directors Office

April 22, 2024

It’s incredible that we are already sitting at the end of April; 2024 has been incredibly busy so far, and it has made the first few months go by in a flash!

Sonography Canada Census:

We have undertaken a much needed research project – the Sonography Canada Census, which launched in March 2024, and wraps up on May 10, 2024.

The census aims to gather information that will highlight the invaluable impact sonographers have on patient care and to address the evolving needs of the profession. By sharing your practice experience and career plans, you’re providing vital insights that will shape workforce solutions tailored to your needs. We need as many members as possible to participate so that the data is significant and representative of the profession.  We’ll use the results when advocating for improvements in areas such as time management, quality assurance, recognition, and overall patient care.

With just 10 days left to participate, we encourage everyone to submit their feedback here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7JHXNTN

Welcome Tim Proveda!

It is with great pleasure that I announce Tim Proveda, CRGS, CRVS as our newest member of the Management Team.  Tim joins us as the Manager, Certification.  We are thrilled that he is bringing his expertise to Sonography Canada, and we look forward to working with him.

2024 Membership:

I would be remiss with not mentioning that today is the final day to renew your 2024 – 2025 membership with us before a late fee is applied to your account.  Renewing is easy – head over to our website, log in, and click the red “Renew Now” button.  Follow the steps from there (confirming contact info, adding PLI should you wish to, joining the Canadian Society of Echocardiography if it is appropriate).  We thank everyone who has renewed their membership thus far. We truly appreciate your continued support.

As we head into Q2 of our year, we look forward to providing you with additional updates on how we are working hard to better serve you, our valued membership!  In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your Spring season!
