Mark your calendars! SonoCon 2025 is coming to the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Ottawa/Gatineau from October 3–5, and it’s shaping up to be one of our most dynamic conferences yet.

What to Expect
Clinical Excellence Across Specialties
Our sessions will span all major sonography specialties — generalist, cardiac, and vascular — with expert-led presentations such as:
- “Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasound Simulation: Integrating Simulators into Education” – Learn about the integration of high-fidelity simulators into our cardiac sonography program, exploring their benefits, challenges, and outcomes. Including a live demo, we will discuss potential future applications of simulators in enhancing patient care and better preparing students for clinical practice, ultimately improving both educational outcomes and real-world competency.
- “MSK intervention under ultrasound guidance at TOH” – Following MSK procedures performed under ultrasound guidance.
- Dry needling for tendinosis
- Barbotage (saline lavage) for calcification in tendons.
- Aspiration of cyst, fluid collection and abscess.

- “Sonographic diagnosis of C-section scar ectopic pregnancy: A case study-based approach for sonographers” – C-section scar ectopic pregnancy (CSP) is increasingly prevalent. This presentation uses case studies to detail CSP’s clinical and sonographic features, aiding differentiation from low-lying gestational sacs, cervical ectopics, and incomplete abortions. Learn the diagnostic challenges and imaging tips for early and accurate detection of this life-threatening condition.
