Sonography Canada pauses remotely proctored delivery of the Sonography Canada Credentialing Examinations
October 13, 2026Sonography Canada monitors its exam delivery regularly to ensure the integrity and security of its assessments and that it maintains fairness for all candidates. We also consult partner organizations and others who deliver high-stakes examinations to understand current trends and risks. To that end, Sonography Canada has decided to pause remotely proctored (RP) delivery of the Sonography Canada Credentialing Examinations.
Beginning with the January 2027 examination session, candidates will complete their exams at Prometric in-person test centres.
This change is intended to provide candidates with a more consistent, reliable, and standardized exam experience. Test centre delivery maximizes the security and integrity of the Sonography Canada exams by providing a controlled testing environment, consistent technical support, and a seamless candidate experience.
This change will take effect beginning with the January 2027 examination sitting.
