Operating Hours – Working Remotely
The Sonography Canada national office staff are now working remotely. Our team is monitoring voice mail during our regular office hours and returning your calls or responding to email inquiries as quickly as they are able to. Our staff may not have immediate access to some information and delays may occur in providing you with the requested details.

Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
By the terms of our comprehensive PLI policy, there are no specific exclusions relating to transmission of a virus or disease for insured sonographers during the delivery of their professional services, except for circumstances involving alleged or actual abuse. However, this would not be the case if a sonographer were proven to be negligent. In this pandemic scenario, this might consist of a failure to sanitize properly resulting in the transmission of a virus, continuing to work while feeling unwell and transmitting the virus, or failing to self-isolate following travel or exposure to the virus.
