Description:
The Fellowship Award recognizes the exceptional contributions of an Active member whose efforts have significantly advanced the mission and objectives of Sonography Canada. This award honors members who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership, and service to the organization, leading to tangible improvements in its operations, initiatives, and influence within the healthcare community.
Criteria:
- Nominees must be Active credentialed members in good standing with Sonography Canada at the time of nomination and appointment to Fellowship status.
- The nominee must meet the standards and professional qualifications for Fellowship, demonstrating a strong track record of contributions to Sonography Canada.
- Nominees must have a minimum of five (5) consecutive years as an active member in good standing with Sonography Canada at the time of nomination and appointment.
- The nominee’s contributions must have had a direct and positive impact on the operations, initiatives, or reputation of Sonography Canada.
Nominations Process:
- Nominations must be submitted by an Active credentialed member of Sonography Canada.
- Each nomination must include a completed nomination form, detailing the nominee’s contributions to Sonography Canada.
- The nomination must be accompanied by two (2) letters of support from Active members of Sonography Canada who are not the nominator. These letters should provide specific examples of the nominee’s impact on Sonography Canada.
- Nominations can be submitted in English or French.
- Nominees may also provide a brief personal statement (optional) outlining their involvement with Sonography Canada and reflecting on their contributions to the organization.
Selection Process:
- Evaluation by Board of Directors: The Sonography Canada Board of Directors will review all submitted nominations.
- The Board will evaluate nominees based on the significance, scope, and sustainability of their contributions to Sonography Canada.
- Consideration will be given to how the nominee’s efforts have enhanced the organization’s operations, initiatives, membership engagement, and overall reputation within the healthcare sector.
Criteria for Selection:
- Impact on Sonography Canada: The nominee’s contributions must have led to measurable improvements in the organization’s activities, programs, or reputation.
- Leadership and Service: The nominee must have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a commitment to advancing the mission of Sonography Canada.
- Sustained Involvement: Preference will be given to nominees who have shown consistent and long-term dedication to the organization.
Award:
- Award of Recognition
- The recipient(s) will be inducted into the Sonography Canada Fellowship and granted Lifetime Membership (excluding PLI).
- The winner(s) will be announced at the Sonography Canada annual conference.
- Conference Registration & Travel Expenses will be covered as per the Sonography Canada Travel Policy for the immediate next available conference. Deferring registration and travel to alternate year(s) will not be permitted.
